PC Happy is here to provide computer services to individuals and small businesses in Sheffield and South Yorkshire. I run PC Happy with the aim of providing friendly, reliable and affordable IT advice and support in a way that is easy for everyone to understand. Below is a little about myself and my experience.
My first job was in customer service for a well known computer store. This was my first experience of supporting customers who had problems with their computers. I had worked on friends and families computers for many years previous to this.
I left this role to study computing at University in Sheffield for four years. This is where I feel I got a good overall knowledge of IT and it proved to be a good starting point for any challenges that I encountered later on.
After University I worked as an IT support technician for a large muli-national company. Much of this work involved fixing computer hardware issues and software problems, and it proved an excellent opportunity for learning new skills
The next role I took was as a Network Systems Analyst. This offered many more interesting challenges and let me build a good knowledge of networking. The IT department was small enough for me to still get involved with more general IT problems too making sure my existing skills weren't neglected. It was during this period I completed a number of Mircosoft qualifications in different areas of IT.
I moved next in to a role as IT Manager. Again this was a small IT department but one that was expected to meet the needs of a muli-national company. This allowed me to keep working on my existing skills and also further develop the skills needed to support the infrastructure of a corperate network environment.
It was then that I decided to set-up PC Happy to offer IT support and other computer services to home and small business users. I started PC Happy as I felt it would offer an opportunity to best use the IT skills I had learnt through education and working in industry.

Another area that can cause lots of problems is security, Internet security is very important and if your Internet security isn't working correctly you should get it fixed as soon as possible. If you are getting lots of popups while you are on the Internet this can be an indication of a problem. Popups aren't just annoying they are often a sign of a virus, malware, adware of similar. Don't just leave it, if you have a popup problem you should get it fixed as soon as possible.
